So yes, the big news, the reasoning behind the closing down of Jasmine Stacey Collection….
It’s not because the company hasn’t been successful. It has been beyond successful and grown tenfold in the last three years. However, when the company gets to a certain turning point, it requires a hell of a lot to be able to push it to the next level and this is something I cannot do both mentally and physically on my own.
As I work solely on my own, roping in a few wonderous people to help with social media and PR but apart from that I started the company from scratch knowing nothing about the industry or anything about business. It has been a hell of a ride learning and growing along the way, but I have had to put my health first.
There is nothing that can take away some of the most memorable moments of my life whilst running this business. I have so much to be proud of and so many people to thank for sharing this journey with me. I have made so many friends along the way and also seen a lot of my customers, models and friends grow in confidence after surgery. The awareness has been beyond incredible with the BBC documentary reaching 14 million people and the support from national newspapers has always taken my breath away and continues to do so.
Thank you to all of you who have continued to support me and wished me well as this decision was not taken lightly, this business is my baby and helped me through a lot of tough times coping with altered body image after surgery. I hope that closing down means that I may be able to revisit the venture in the future. Or open the possibility of future exciting collaborations. However, until then be sure to grab the lingerie you have always wanted, there will not be another chance to do so.
